Join us for a special program in our partnership with Rose Medical Center, Nourishing our Jewish Selves: Mind Body and Soul as speaker Gail Nussbaum speaks about Sharsheret. Sharsheret, Hebrew for "chain," is an American not-for-profit organization intended to support young Jewish women with breast cancer, or a genetic predisposition to it, and their families. Due to a higher prevalence of a BRCA mutation, Ashkenazi Jews have a higher risk of developing breast cancer.
Also, Dr. Helen Coons from Rose Medical Center will be joining us to give a presentation about Jewish genetic diseases, prevention and screening.
Dinner and program will be in the North Social Hall. Register for dinner here!
