The Caring Community of Temple Emanuel recognizes our responsibility to care for one another as we fulfill the mitzvah of G’milut Chasadim — acts of loving kindness. These acts build and nourish a network of relationships which can sustain us throughout the journey of our lives.
The Caring Community assists our clergy in meeting the pastoral needs of our congregation by offering:
· Caring cards or notes
· Visits at home or in long term care facilities
We are always looking for additional volunteers to write cards, cook meals, and visit congregants! This super flexible volunteer opportunity allows you to set your own schedule and determine how often you volunteer. You can even get involved without leaving home!
If you know of an individual who is in a hospital, long term care facility, or at home who may welcome this type of assistance, please contact our Assistant to the Clergy Patricia here or call our office at 303-388-4013 ext. 308. For additional information, please contact Rabbi Eliot Baskin here or at 303-388-4013 ext. 302.
