About the Mental Health Task Force

In 2103, Temple Emanuel's social action group, HESED, asked congregants: "What Keeps You Up at Night?" The answer was access to mental health care. HESED's community action garnered political support for legislation increasing the budget for mental health care, which was passed by the Colorado legislature. Congregant interest in mental health concerns continued. Temple's Mental Health Task Force was formed to meet this need.

One in four persons is affected by mental illness. If you or someone you love needs support, Temple Emanuel's Mental Health Task Force can help. The Task Force is working to connect people with resources and reduce the stigma of mental illness through education.
