6:00 p.m. - Shabbat Shira Worship and Installation Service
It is fitting that on Shabbat Shira, the "Shabbat of Song," we install Cantor Gabriel Lehrman and Rabbi Joshua Margo. This shabbat will be a celebration of music and our new clergy featuring the Shabbat Band. Special guests will join us for a meaningful ceremony to officially install Rabbi Margo and Cantor Lehrman, sealing them as integral members of our clergy team and our community.

Drop your children off to watch a movie while you attend Installation Shabbat services. If staying for dinner, they can choose to eat with their peers or with you in the North Social Hall. After dinner, they can come back to play games, make crafts, and be in community with other students.

Join us for a celebratory Shabbat meal marking the installation of our new clergy.

7:30 p.m. - Clergy Installation Concert - Kumzitz: Gathering Together in Song
A "kumzitz" ("come, sit " in Yiddish) is an intimate, casual Jewish gathering for song and storytelling. You are invited to "come, sit" with Cantor Lehrman and Rabbi Margo, getting to know them through the music that has shaped their lives - accompanied by Steve Brodsky and the Shabbat Band. Between songs, they will share stories about why these melodies matter and introduce new music they are excited to bring to Temple Emanuel. Join us for an evening that harnesses the power of communal singing to help us all feel more connected, grounded, and uplifted.
We are excited to welcome our Special Guests

A note about Installation
In November, we installed Rabbi Emily Hyatt and Rabbi Elizabeth Sacks as our new Senior Rabbis. We are excited to embark on a new era of Temple Emanuel leadership. Senior Rabbis Hyatt and Sacks will work together to uphold both the solidity and the creativity that have always been the hallmark of our congregation.
