Inclusion & Belonging

At Temple Emanuel, we want every person to feel truly welcome and at home in our community. Belonging is an ongoing journey, and we’re committed to creating opportunities for everyone to participate, lead, and help shape our shared future.

Our Inclusion & Belonging Task Force brings together staff and lay leaders to look at our practices and policies, plan meaningful programs, and recommend ways we can grow together as a sacred community. The group focuses on issues including LGBTQ Life, Interfaith Life, Racial Justice & Belonging, and Disability and Accessibility, among others. We would love for you to be part of this work. To get involved, share feedback, or learn more, please reach out to Jenny Williams at williams@emanueldenver.org.

Direct Service

Temple Emanuel Caring Committee

Our Caring Committee is here to bring comfort, connection, and support to our community. As we grow this effort, we’ll be reaching out to members who would benefit from a caring touch. You can help by joining the committee and volunteering your time or making a donation to sustain this work. Together, we can make a real difference. To get involved, please contact Rabbi Joshua Margo at margo@emanueldenver.org.

Tikkun Together: Community Service at Temple Emanuel

At Temple Emanuel, we believe that repairing the world—tikkun olam—is a core expression of Jewish life. Through Tikkun Together, our community comes together to serve others, build relationships, and make a positive impact both within and beyond our congregation.

Each month, we partner with local organizations to offer hands-on opportunities for all ages and abilities. From packing meals for those experiencing food insecurity, to supporting Habitat for Humanity builds, to environmental clean-up projects and more, there are many ways to get involved for folks of all ages and abilities.

Tikkun Together is more than volunteering—it’s about strengthening our community through action, compassion, and connection. Whether you join once or often, your presence makes a difference.

Together, we can bring light, kindness, and justice into the world—one project at a time. Email Jenny Williams at williams@emanueldenver.org to get involved.

Habitat Interfaith Alliance

The mission of Habitat Interfaith Alliance is to utilize the energy and commitment of our faith communities to build affordable housing for families in need.

Our group of twelve congregations started seventeen years ago. Participating congregations include: Temple Sinai, HEA, Rodef Shalom, Temple Micah, B'nai Havurah, Temple Emanuel, Trinity Methodist, First Universalist, Christ the King, St. Thomas Episcopal, Prairie Unitarian, and St. Andrew United Methodist. Each year we pledge to raise the funds to build a home for a needy family. Our cost is $85,000.

In order to honor our commitment, we hold various fundraisers throughout the year. These include a soup dinner, a used book sale, a Rabbi Black concert, and our annual golf tournament. During the spring and summer our congregations have the opportunity to assist in building our Habitat for Humanity home.

For volunteer opportunities or more information on getting involved, please contact Susan Wilensky.
