"If Music Be the Food..." is a national collection of benefit concerts to raise awareness and support for the hungry in local communities through the sharing of great music donated by professional musicians. The endeavor is entirely volunteer and there is no fixed price for admission -- the audience is invited to bring non-perishable food items or monetary donations of any amount for the partnering food bank. The complete quote from Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night is "If music be the food of love, play on!" IMBTF strives to help provide food for our bodies as well as music and community for our souls.
Temple Emanuel Denver is proud to host this joyful annual concert to benefit the Weinberg Food Pantry of Jewish Family Service during the Jewish harvest festival of Sukkot.
