Join with Rabbi Black and Sue as we visit the “Land of Enchantment” and its Jewish history. During the course of our journey, we will travel to Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Acoma Pueblo, and other fascinating sites. We will explore how the Jewish communities of this remarkable state had a profound impact on its development – from Solomon Bibo, the first (and only) Jewish Governor of the Acoma Tribe, to the merchants, professionals and politicians and outlaws who served in positions of influence. We will a wonderful Shabbat evening at Congregation Albert in Albuquerque (where Rabbi Black served as Rabbi for 14 years), meet with and learn from Crypto-Jewish communities, and explore the amazing art, cuisine, history and culture of this remarkable state.
