Fall is here! With COVID-19 conditions changing, and outdoor opportunities winding down, the Re-opening Task Force, and the professional team have updated our guidelines to become effective on October 1st.
We are also aware of the fact that this is a very fluid situation and that our guidelines may very well change as the situation on the ground changes as well. Over the course of the pandemic, we have relied heavily on our Jewish values as we make decisions. The most important of all of these is Pikuach Nefesh – the preservation of lifer. Our physical safety will always remain our top priority. In addition, we are still mindful of all those afflicted and all who are at risk, including our children who are not yet able to receive a vaccine.
As such, we have adopted the following safety guidelines, to be in effect until December 31st – or until new information is released:
All congregants in the building must be vaccinated and masked.
Children under 12 are now allowed at services but must be masked.
Registration for all services and events is still required.
We can accommodate a maximum of 200 people in the sanctuary.
Saturday morning Community Service will remain in the chapel with a maximum of 40 people.
Religious school classes will move indoors (masks required).
Parents will drop their children off at religious school outside the building, and thus will not be allowed in the building during Religious School, and no additional programs will take place during Religious School hours at this time.
We will begin to have adult engagement opportunities in the building in addition to streaming at this time.
Streaming of services and virtual Torah Study will remain.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support to keep our community safe. We are excited to see all of you at Temple and back in our beautiful sanctuary.
