Pride Shabbat @ The JCC

Friday June 23, 2023
6:00 to 7:00 PM Kabbalat Shabbat Service
7:00 PM Shabbat Dinner

Organized and led by LGBTQIA+ leaders in our community, Pride Shabbat will start with an energetic Kabbalat Shabbat service (Friday night service that welcomes Shabbat) that is built around celebrating the joy of Shabbat and the joy of Pride. Everyone is welcome to join for Kabbalat Shabbat, although registration is requested. A live stream of this service will be available. Shabbat dinner following the service is an additional fee on a sliding scale with hardship pricing available. If you’d like to be involved in leading the service, reach out to Rabbi Caryn Aviv, at CarynAviv@judaismyourway.org

PrideFest

June 24-25, 2023
All Day

Denver PrideFest, organized by The Center on Colfax, is a two-day festival that celebrates our LGBTQIA+ community. PrideFest 2023 includes hundreds of exhibitors, dozens of food vendors, three stages of live entertainment, a family area, a Youth Area, and more! Thousands of people from all over Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region attend Denver PrideFest each year. The Jewish Community of Denver will have a booth in the family area of PrideFest where we will be making Pride-themed friendship bracelets and lanyards, and of course, doing plenty of schmoozing!

If you are interested in volunteering at the booth, or helping start bracelets and lanyards, please sign up to volunteer or contact Daniel Siegel at dsiegel@jccdenver.org.

Pride March

June 25, 2023
8:30 AM to 11:00 AM

Temple Emanuel is excited to march with the Jewish Community at Denver's Pride Parade, an opportunity to stand together, celebrate diversity, and show our support for the LGBTQIA+ community. Let's spread love, acceptance, and equality side by side. Together, we will proudly showcase our Jewish community while embracing and honoring the LGBTQIA+ community's strength and resilience. This is a special opportunity to demonstrate the values of inclusivity and solidarity that lie at the core of our community. Space for marchers will be on a first come first serve basis. All marchers will receive an “Ahava” t-shirt!
