Disability Justice Seder
Friday, April 26th at 4:00 PM at Temple Emanuel
Embodying the values of freedom and redemption that we celebrate each Pesach, this Disability Justice Seder seeks to create a community space that is open, accessible, and welcoming to all. In partnership with Repair the World and Ohr HaOlam, JFS Jewish Disabilities Advocates (JDA) will host the event at Temple Emanuel. This disability-friendly seder will feature a custom Haggadah, along with traditional Jewish music. Accessibility accommodations include wheelchair access, visual aids, ASL interpretation, quiet spaces, and a virtual attendance option for those who cannot join in-person.
This event is free and open to the whole community. Ritual foods and a light nosh will be provided. Volunteers are needed to serve food, assist with setup and cleanup, and support JFS Haverim and Best Buddies groups of adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
